Born in Vietnam, Thomas and his family escaped Saigon on April 29, 1975, the day prior to the country’s fall to Communism. His early childhood in Vietnam was influenced greatly by French culture – particularly the flare for entertaining – and his family’s involvement in politics. Through the experience of hosting black-tie events for dignitaries, Thomas developed an admiration for panache and sophistication. While working in the pharmaceutical industry as an adult, Thomas felt a calling to hospitality. In 2000, upon completing his MBA, he founded Thomas Bui Lifestyle.
His is a modern approach to understated luxury, and one that includes natural elements to the environment to create a heightened organic atmosphere. Thomas is always thoughtful in his approach and in his attention to detail.
